emollient

What are emollients?
Emollients are herbs that soothe, soften and protect the skin. They’re used externally and have a similar action externally, the way demulcents work internally. They can be applied as a gel, lotion, cream or paste. Emollients are useful when in need of protective and anti-inflammatory relief for healing.
