Solar plexus and heart Chakra journal activity

This eight day exercise will help you determin the health of your solar plexus and heart chakra. This activity will promote a clearer undersatding of your personal identity, confidence, and sense of purpose while allowing you to release unprocessed emotions relating to your openness to express love, forgiveness, and empathy.

Answer one of the journal prompts below each day of the week, honoring any emotions and past experiences that come up in the process.

You will need:

  • Pen/pencil

  • paper

Method:

  1. Begin by cleansing yourself and your space with sage and/or palo santo.

  2. Sit quietly for a few minutes, focusing on your breathing to center your energy.

  3. For the first 4 days, pick one of the following questions for the solar plexus and answer honestly, noticing the effect it has on you:

    • Would you consider yourself a confident person, and what does self- confidence mean to you?

    • How important are your values and self-worth: are you able to set boundaries and stick to them?

    • Do you feel empowered to pursue your goals towards success?

    • Are you comfortable following your own path or do you often feel unsure of your purpose?

    • Do you feel motivated in your life or do you lack the determination to move forward?

    • Do you crave validation from others or are you confident in your own individuality?

    • How can you cultivate a deeper sense of self-acceptance and confidence?

  4. For the last 4 days, pick on of the following questions for the heart chakra and answer honestly, noticing the effect it has on you:

    • Are you able to openly express love and compassion?

    • What does self-love mean to you?

    • Are you able to forgive others or are you prone to holding on to past hurt?

    • Do you engage in negative self-talk or unhelpful thought patterns or do you accept yourself unconditionally?

    • Do you find it difficult to open yourself up and trust others? Are you able to set clear boundaries in relationships?

    • How are you able to live more consciously from a place of love and compassion?

  5. Write your responses in your journal, working through any thoughts or emotions that arise.

  6. Sit for a moment and meditate on an intention or affirmation to support your solar plexus and heart chakra.
